[Construction Case] Local Exhaust Hood Design and Installation

A case where the opinions of the workers were heard, and a focus on workability was prioritized to carry out the construction in a lump sum!

To the pump manufacturer, we would like to introduce a case study of the design and construction of a local exhaust hood. In this case, the manufacturer was experiencing an accumulation of odors from organic solvents used during cleaning in the work area, which was affecting the working environment. Therefore, we conducted a site survey and designed the hood (custom-made to minimize disruption to the existing workflow based on interviews with the users), and handled the installation of equipment and the electrical control panel as a comprehensive package. With the improvement of odors, we also introduced an activated carbon filter unit, which addressed concerns for the surrounding area, and we were able to maintain the first management category in the working environment, leading to an overall improvement. [Case Overview] ■ Issue: Odor control during the use of organic solvents and improvement of the working environment ■ Scale and Content of Implementation: New hood design and blower update (including some ducts), installation of local exhaust equipment ■ Benefits of Implementation: No impact on work processes, and sufficient maintenance of odor control was achieved *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Case Study: "Clean Workstation (Suction Workbench)" Part 2

Energy-saving workstation with a small airflow, even on a large workbench.

At a certain factory, two people were engaged in product manufacturing work at a workbench that used organic solvents, with a table in between them. The dimensions of the table were approximately 3500 x 3500, making it very large, and it was necessary to rotate the table during the manufacturing process. Enclosing the area with a booth would increase the size of the equipment, and there was a problem of workers being exposed to organic solvents while working inside the booth. Therefore, we introduced our rotating workbench. By providing a suction port at the edge of the rotating table and installing an external air outlet above the rotating table, we were able to efficiently achieve local exhaust through a push-pull effect. Additionally, by using the interior of the rotating axis as a duct, it became possible to ventilate without compromising workability or the required airflow. As a result of the introduction, workability remained the same as before, and local exhaust was achieved. Our company manufactures original work suction tables tailored to the customer's work content and workspace. Please contact us for more details.

Reduction of defective products! Introducing a case of preventing condensation in a cardboard manufacturing company.

At Company S, a cardboard manufacturing manufacturer, we received a consultation regarding the issue that during the winter, the steel framework inside the factory condenses due to the large amount of steam used by the machines (corrugating machines), causing water droplets to fall on the products and resulting in defective items. To address this, we decided to block the steam source with vinyl curtains and perform localized exhaust of the steam within that area. Specifically, we enclosed the surroundings and the top of the machine (corrugating machine) with a vinyl curtain that is 3 meters high and 85 meters long, and added three roof fans for exhaust. As a result, the costs were reduced to about one-third compared to simply adding roof fans. [Case Study] <Results> ■ Condensation was eliminated, preventing water droplets from falling on the products, which reduced the occurrence of defects. ■ We were able to significantly reduce construction costs. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Case] Annual Regular Self-Inspection and Report for Foundation Manufacturing Company S.

Always maintain the dust collector in normal condition! Reduce the workload of the management personnel in the factory!

We received several requests from Company S, a foundation manufacturing company, to check the poor suction of an existing line when they undertake other construction work. In such cases, the inspection of the existing line has hindered the progress of the necessary work. Therefore, we proposed a contract for regular inspections of the existing line approximately once a year. This allows us to maintain the dust collection system in a normal state, enabling it to perform effectively, and also helps prevent breakdowns, thus avoiding unnecessary repair costs. 【Construction Overview】 ■ Regular inspection and cleaning of dust collectors and ducts for welding fumes, mist, etc. ■ Checking the appropriate air velocity and airflow at the intake of local exhaust systems and the dust collector itself. ■ Inspections will be conducted approximately once a year, with us preparing the necessary documents to be submitted to the respective department representatives. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Example] Fume Local Exhaust for Welding Robot, Company T in the Welding Industry

Designed the hood to maximize effectiveness! A case study on fume extraction in welding processes.

At Company T, which specializes in welding processing with robots, there was a significant issue with welding smoke (dust) in the factory. During winter, the windows are closed, causing the smoke to fill the factory. Since the capacity of the dust collector was already determined, we designed the hood to maximize its effectiveness. We increased the diameter of the intake (duct) to reduce internal resistance and hung curtains around the hood to improve efficiency. As a result, the smoke in the factory was significantly improved compared to before the installation. 【Case Summary】 ■Challenges - The factory has severe welding smoke (dust) due to constant welding. - In winter, the windows are closed, causing smoke to fill the factory. ■Results - The smoke in the factory was significantly improved compared to before the installation. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
